This series of type-and-image studies takes, as subject and inspiration, the path of Interstate 195 through Providence’s East Side. The prints themselves are photographs of lighting and model setups, with additional type added on the computer. In each print, several texts follow visual structures that I derived from the highway landscape and its visual vocabulary.
