IPAC website

Website and logotype design for the Intellectual Property Action Committee, an non-partisan political advocacy group that pushes for balanced copyright and patent laws. IPAC is a registered PAC, able to contribute to campaigns and to lobby members of Congress, and it needed to project a conservative yet sophisticated image. This site picks up on the red-white-and-blue theme of most political websites, but in more muted hues. The front page, pictured here, provides a quick overview of the organization’s mission, headlines from an official weblog, and a form that lets visitors sign up for regular mailings.

IPAC also needed a logo or logotype. The organization eventually chose a mark that incorporated a graphic element. The two circles, set inside an oval offset to one side, broadly suggest growth, like the rings on a seashell.
